Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh Today gave an assurance that India-Pakistan Border will be completely sealed by December 2018. This decision was announced after a review meeting on security with four states bordering Pakistan.
Centre is keen on preparing a time-bound action plan and monitor the work regularly to ensure full protection by the end of deadline. A Framework will be prepared to Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Review of the implementation of the action plan. National Security Agencies and Chief Secretaries of the four states will monitor the mission.
Government of India will use Army and Technology to seal the border at difficult terrain. Border Security Grid will be constituted and notification regarding it would be issued soon.
Admitting that tension prevails at the border, Rajnath Singh told people of the Nation have faith in the Army and country's security is gets top priority always. 'Indian Soldiers protect the country just alike farmers protect their crops,' he quotes.
